The New Parkway Anniversary
A cool community theater in Oakland with couches and quirky seating, a beer and wine license, and a full food menu, is turning two on December 22, 2014 and to celebrate, they’ll open the theater early for $2 movies all afternoon and night.
In every single movie showing that day, they’ll be raffling off a 2015 New Parkway Annual Pass, meaning you can get into anything they show in the upcoming year for free.

A Coppola Family Affair
The Roxie Theatre has scored another coup with this weekend long salute to the filmmaking Coppola clan. Many of the filmmakers will appear with their movies.
Emmy-nominated filmmaker and Webby Awards Founder Tiffany Shlain has a terrific web series in its second season. eThe newest webisod, “The Future of Our Species” has just gone up. Both seasons are available free. Each only last five minutes but is packed with ideas, striking visuals, wisdom and humor. Great for a quick lift.
