Tour Schedule
5:30pm Gather Restaurant – Meet your Tour Guides and other locavores at the Gather Restaurant
Gather is a place to experience Northern California food, West Coast wines, and innovative organic cocktails. Their daily-changing menus range from braised meats and whole-roasted fish to brick-oven pizzas and composed vegetable dishes. The food is inspired by the local farmers, ranchers and artisan food producers. Chef Sean Baker combines three diverse talents—vegetarian finesse and meat technique—at Berkeley’s Gather, where he offers a menu focused equally on delicious vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore presentations.
6:45pm Revival Bar & Kitchen – Most excellent local, sustainable cuisine
Revival cultivates relationships with producers – farmers, ranchers, coffee-roasters and winemakers – who are passionate about their products and have a good sense of how they fit in the community. We’re excited to be part of Downtown Berkeley’s comeback, and we’re bringing the best of what we love – the revelation in a bite of house-cured bacon, the piquancy of a pickled piquillo pepper – to get that revival revved up.
8:00pm Five at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza – A Modern American Restaurant & Bar
FIVE incorporates the five senses and five elements into the food, ambiance and environment of the restaurant. FIVE Restaurant and their fabulous french chef formally of San Francisco’s famed Boulevard restaurant have developed a menu which is both simple and complex, reflecting the simplicity of celebrating not only what is natural and familiar, but upon further exploration revealing unparalleled complexity in flavor, texture and taste.
There will be vegan and vegetarian options available. Visit Bay Area Green Tours for more info.
